The event was specific to Onshore Energy Insurance in the MENA region and beyond. The event was acknowledged as being the first of its kind in an ever-growing insurance market being developed at pace. It was attended by insurance practitioners from UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia to provide current information and insights into the operating environment as well as networking opportunities for the 170 attendees.
The mission of the OEC was not only to provide a focal point for information and networking but also to provide quality training and development opportunities for the next generation. This event is linked to the OEC in London formerly known as the London Power Forum, whose next event is scheduled to be in London on 9th November 2016.
There was an impressive list of speakers who provided some stimulating and thought provoking discussions. Thornton Tomasetti has been a sponsor of previous events and looks forward to continuing its positive relationships with the high quality of attending clients.
Our attendance was especially timely since we have been involved in the most talked about loss in the region for many years following a hotel fire on New Years Eve.
